The course with Bushra is the first course that really helped me understand Arabic! I can finally hold simple conversations in Arabic and feel more confident in my skills.

This course connected so many dots and pushed me to take my learning to the next level. I learned speaking Arabic first, and in doing so, skipped over many of the whys for why the Arabic language functions the way it does. These bits were communicated in a tangible, applicable, fun way. Conversationally, even if I know what I want to say, I shut down as soon as I go to talk- but the cohort style of this made it a safe place to take risks. Since the close of class, I've been able to go back to our previous units to deepen understanding and practice reading- so excited for the next course!

Bayt Bushra Teach Arabic's Spoken Levantine Arabic classes were the highlight of my week! The Beginner courses laid a solid foundation in the spoken dialect and were filled with vocab and helpful explainers. [Miss Bushra’s] classes have been an amazing space to practice pronunciation and to challenge myself to read without the harakat! The stories are simple but I always felt accomplished after reading a paragraph. I loved that [she] would give us phrases in the different dialects and encouraged us to use what was colloquially used in our differing backgrounds. Overall it was a great space to learn and Im glad I was able to attend the level 1&2 classes.
